Hello everyone, my name is Max Vondel from Australia.
I found you on a link from Universe Today.
I have never seen a UFO, or alien, nor have I been abducted.
However I am open minded and am happy to contribute to discussions here.
My interests include amateur astronomy (I have 9 telescopes), History and Mythology.
I believe UFO's are natural/physiological phenomon, and nothing special will happen in 2012.
There are 100's of comets every year, so why is 2012 any different???
Why december 21 - close to solstice, pagan festivals etc - do comets keep to our primitive time tables ?
The piramids, stone henge etc were all built by human beings, without interstellar assistance.
(showing our bias that our ancestors were more primitive than us - CRAP)
When nothing happens in 2012 will the date be changed to 2018 perhaps?
Like the 7th day adventists expecting Christ's return in 1842 (later changed to 1844)
Or the Jehovah's witnesses who have predicted his return on more than a dozen occasions !!!!
No comets have ever been observed with orbits from beond the solar system - so previous comments about comets from the Orion nebula are rubbish. The Orion nebula is less than a million years old so nothing living is there at all.
Any planets haven't even had time to form properly, let alone develop advance civilizations that have developed interstellar travel and come out to see us.
I don't expect to be listed because I disagree with the majority here.
But if you are open minded you'll let me post and challenge this Psuedo-science, Psuedo-history and other delusions of grandeur.

hi ! my name is austin and i have been interested in ufos ever since i was 15. i saw my first one on the beach when i was out there with some of my friends, and they also saw it. that entire summer i saw quite a few. i didn't doubt my sanity, and i knew what i saw wasn't from here. very soon after that, i started doing research on the subject. i've had dreams where i've been abducted. they weren't frightening to me. i was actually quite relaxed. 11 years ago it was a few days before the 50th anniversary of roswell, i was driving to my aunt's house at about 7 in the evening, and i was sitting at an intersection i saw a bright light hovering in the sky. it got brighter and brighter, and then it all of sudden just blinked out. i thought i was the only one who saw the light. but when i got home that night i was watching the evening news and others had seen the same thing. of course the newscasters laughed about it. and to add one more thing,last sunday night i was standing on my front porch and i happened to look up and i saw a streak of light shoot across the sky,and it disappeared just as quickly as i saw it. i don't know too much about dec.21 2012, but i would like to get feedback from others who are in here. if anyone would like to contact me, my email address is bigbywolf76@yahoo.com. thanks for your time.

I learned of the 2012 asteroid in a very old "Atlantis Rising Magazine" in an article on the Mayan Calender and prophesy. It said that we can expect a large asteroid to break apart and part of it would hit earth. This is suppose to occur on December 21, 2012.

I personally believe that the procession comes full circle at that time, and we go into the age of Aquarius.
