Always wanted to see one, Now I believe!!!

I can remember when I was little, every Saturday night my family would go to my cousins to visit. I can remember watching the skies everytime. Looking for anything out of the ordinary. There were several times we would see red lights, from 5 to 8 or 10 I remember they didn't fly across the sky like a high flying plane. They would hover here and there and move around a bit. Like they were interacting in some sort of way. Then they would just be gone. Like they just disappeared. I remember It was just during the fall of the year when we would see them.
Jump ahead 25 years.
I am on my way home from the local Wal-Mart, It's about 6:30pm. Summer time. I'd say probably around August or September. On my way, I would cross over a railroad track, then for about a half mile or so I would look to my left at the horses in the pasture. They were soo pretty. I couldn't help but look everytime.
Well, on this particular day, I looked over and something cought my eye. Just above the pasture, I can't tell you how high up in the sky it was, but it was LOW! Well below the clouds. All I can say for sure is I seen it very very good… It came right over the pasture, just in front of my car above the tree line to my right. I lost sight of it because of the trees to my right. The only way I can explain what it looked like is, If you've ever watched a crime tv program where they will blur the face of the person so you can't tell what they look like. The blur is what I saw… I could see that there was something within the blur but could not make out shape or color. It was moving Sooo fast!!! I would say it took maybe 1.5 to 2 seconds to go from first noticing it to passed me over the tree line. Maybe two miles give or take? It looked, from where I was, that it could have been as long as three or four Greyhound busses. As tall as two or three. No sound at all. Just this big blur going across the sky… I've never seen it again. It realy Freaked me out!!!
I know that the US military is suppossedly 50 yrs or so ahead of what they will let the public know they have, as far as technology and such. I just don't believe the military has cloaking technology, or anything that will fly that freaking fast.
I realy HOPE I am not the only person to have seen such a sight. I have posted on MUFON and several different sights but have never heard from anyone on the subject. Not even so much as an email or phone call from MUFON, or anyone else. I hope that the next time I see it, my video camera is in my front seat and I don't wreck trying to video it. I know what I saw and that is good enough for me, but my wife has to see it to believe it. Like most people, she would have to have it land in front of her and something come out of it to talk to her before she would believe it was in front of her much less from another place or time.
We can't be the only ones that live within the whole universe. If nothing else, thats just Arrogant to believe. Just because we can't beat our on gravity doesn't mean some race millions of years older than us can't. And so the debate goes on. But I would like to know If someone has seen something simillar. Thanks, Don…

Hi Shadow!

For your info, approx. ten years ago, a good friend of mine recalled an incident in which he was doing research in some very remote valleys, in northern California. Later at night he would observe these military “platforms”, moving slowly just above the treetops! They would be “lit up” and absolutely silent, except for the personnel operating them. He observed these things many times and simply said it was somewhat “eerie” to see something so large (as big as a house!) with no audible means of flight. This was back in the 70’s. My friend is a very respected scientist. He never made an issue of this, as he could tell it was some sort of “military” vehicle.

Therefore, it wouldn’t strike me as unusual that the military has some form of vehicle capable of “cloaking” and flying at incredible speeds!

I can't call you a liar because I wasn't there, and who knows maybe aliens are exploring here.

What I can tell you is that each year in the united states 911 services responds to about 250 calls of people as convinced as you are, saying they see something weird in the sky only to have officers dispatched and arrive on scene to explain that the weird looming glow they see is the satellite that's been with this planet for almost the entire age of this planet. Something we lovingly call, Moon.

Again I'm not calling you a liar. I'm not saying your mind plays tricks on you, and I'm not dismissing your claim. But human perception is an incredibly excitable and fickle thing.

Maybe I could interest you in some reading about the amygdala and its association with the limbic system. This part of our brain is involved literally tricking us into seeing things that aren't necessarily so and elicits the emotional reactions and popularized "fight or flight" cognition as well as body chemistry changes. It's postulated that this served as an advantage in early human history and is manifested in most animals in one way or another. Run through a group of chickens and see what happens. Depending on the breed, the roosters will likely take after you thrusting their spurs into your flesh. Now do it with an umbrella in your hands positioned in front of you. They will spread in terror and make the strangest of noises. One can only speculate what kind of myths the share with each other about this day that the monster with 8 spiked tentacles of doom draped in smooth skin tried to destroy their family. They might even rumor one of the chickens as defeating it because it was too stupid or unaware to flee....

...I grew up with chickens.

What if you tape it?

Nowadays, it's possible, and even easy, to edit a video so it would look like a UFO was flying next to you and waving and saying "Goodbye".

We live in the age of Science. And, well, unless I see and experience it with my owns eyes, I need science to prove that what you saw was really an UFO.

Don't take me wrong, I believe it looked and it MIGHT be one. Still, you can't say that it was one. You can't prove it.

I Dunno what to say. I was with friends, on Christmas eve of all nights. WE SAW. WE TALKED. We Called EVERYBODY. Nothing like dismissal as a deterent., Oh Well, it still doesn't explain what Me & My Mom witnessed, when I was 8, It was Late July, in Upstate NY. about 11:00 p.m., Nice clear Night. We saw Three Flying in a Triangle, No Sound, Just Clear WHITE LIGHTS, Watched them for about 15 Minits. They swirled, as if they were circling a Pole, Then Grouped Into ONE & shot straight UP, Outta sight. I quit reporting, I just believe. ( Dvnt & the Other jerks can reply all they want )
I know what I saw, I had Credable wittnesses, & I believe !!!!

Dude, no1's saying it's not true. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Maybe you're 100% sure it is, and still, it may be your mind playing tricks.

The point is... You can't prove it. I'm not saying it is not real, at least in your head it should be. But to us, outsiders, there's simply no way you can prove it.

And I can't believe you just by reading what you said. Too many people lie, you can't trust them.

"I saw the flying-spaghetti monster yesterday!"
So? If I say that, does it make it true?

I'm not here saying you're all liars. I DO BELIEVE there's aliens and UFOs and whatever.
It's just that some things that you guys say make no sense at all.

Well, Like Zanariel said, We, the readers, can't be 100% sure it really happaned. After all, seeing is believing, reding not so much.

There's this thing called a 'False Truth'. Which happens when the human mind experiences something it can't explain. The way the mind works is that it creates bit and pieces of information from nothing, just trying to cope with something it can't understand, and the final picture becomes completely different and yet, to that persons mind its completely true. They believe it 100%, sure they are not wrong.

I read that somewhere once, i think it was a psychological explanation for people with fake memories or something, can't be sure. I'll try and look it up.

Again, I'm not saying that's what happened, but it COULD have. We can't be 100% sure of that either.
