If we divide the whole life cycle of the universe by two, are we living in the first half or the second half?

First half, probably. In fact, if you turned the entire time the Universe has been around into a 24 hour span (Or maybe it's the Solar System), humans will have only been around for a few seconds.

Well the parameter of time is only related to us ' humans ' living on earth, certainly it doesn't exist in the out skirt of the universe, doesn't?

I'm not sure of what you're asking, but the concept of time exsist in every known part of the universe. While we usually measure time everywere in Earth time, time still exsists.

Do universes have life cycles? I thought the universe is endless and continously growing without any cut off point.
If thats true in order to see whether we were in the 2nd of 1st part of the cycle you'd have to select your own 'stop' point.

If you did that in real time and didn't choose a point in the future or past, but chose the present.. then by rights you'd be at the end of the day, however you measure it, putting us in the 2nd half. Probably a valid way of looking at it at the end of the human races time as a species....but since the universe will continue long after we are gone....that would place us in the 1st half, unless we live until the end of the universe and i'm not even gonna try and get my head around why thats not possible lol.

I suppose it all depends on how you choose to measure time and when you choose to stop measuring it.

Good interpretation..., but what I mean by universe life cycle is not related to our traditional time and date..., it's rather the period of existence ( birth and end) of the universe, divide by two..., it still a fascinating question...!

I think time will have no sense in the out skirt of the universe..., imagine some one standing away out there looking at the stars and galaxies navigation in all directions for him thousands of years on earth is just few seconds for him, time slows as long as you get farther away from earth till it becomes nil or with no sense... therefore the means of time wouldn’t exists out there…

A simple example of the universe's expansion, is when opening a book bit by bit, the pages start to get away from each other and you keep opening the book till the front cover and back cover touch in the other side, it will be the maximum…, you can’t keep opening it further more, the only option still available is to shut it back in once...
The similar scenario for the universe after the Big-Bang, it started to expand and expand again, all stars and galaxies are still navigating away from each other..., but until when? it must be a limit, imagine a balloon who keeps expanding so long as the skin is thicker enough..., but there is a limit where the balloon wouldn't expands anymore, therefore the blow would be the only option still..., it could be the end of our universe and the beginning of an other one... etc

But for our universe are we closer to its end or its birth ?

Thanks for your earlier reply - I agree.
I think we are closer to it's birth, if the universe is still expanding.....providing it doesn't retract and a faster rate than it expanded.
