Just have a look at the water temperatures here, you can almost swim in it, and this is December!

So you swapped the word 'cold' for 'hottest' when making the original post didn't you?
It is very interesting that you raise the sea temperature issue, the Arctic has not been melting because it's warmer but because of underwater volcanoes and you have just pointed out how much of an effect they are having. When the sea becomes warmer, it does not warm the planet but cool it, as it becomes out of balance with the planet and more water evaporates from the sea, causing massive floods as we have all seen but also it lands as snow and becomes land locked in growing ice caps, eg like how Antarctica is growing. Antarctica hold 90% of the Earths ice and when it grows, as it has been, things are changing and not for the better!!!! Below are some links to show you the volcanoes under the Arctic and also in Antarctica. It has become known that when the sun is quiet, like it is now, it causes greater volcanic activity on Earth and about 90% of volcanoes are under the sea.
The only piece of the Antarctic to show melting and ice breaking off has a huge active volcano underneath it.
