I learned of the 2012 asteroid in a very old "Atlantis Rising Magazine" in an article on the Mayan Calender and prophesy. It said that we can expect a large asteroid to break apart and part of it would hit earth. This is suppose to occur on December 21, 2012.

I personally believe that the procession comes full circle at that time, and we go into the age of Aquarius.
