Religion is the biggest killer..every war that has existed is related to religion....middle east war....Ireland...Islamic wars.....even Hitler......all of them were religion wars......It's just an excuse to cause wars ..total rubbish and I don't believe in it !!!

That is to bad that you feel this way but, I say, forget religion. Do not believe in GOD, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit? Forget what men have done in the name of "religion" and look up to were the real spirit of GOD lives.

So hard to give you an answer to your question without causing some form of conflict to you or others.
This is were we must change our ways of thinking. Instead of negativity to trigger a chain of conflict.

The best Religion is a spiritually minded religion where there is a witness of the Holy spirit through the son of God. Mind you people who are not spiritually minded to the holy spirit where the problem will lie. Like Hitler was not spiritually minded to the Holy spirit but to some cult religion he made up and not of God. Wars may have come from religion minded people but they where not spiritually minded to the Holy Spirit of Christ. You can reject God and say it is all his fault for the wars problem in the world and he will let you, but it is you that is in error. Gods a good God, For many religious people do not know him only about him and their pride which is not an attributes of The Lord God. Blind non spiritually people into legally minded religion can hate people different that them. The religious cult spirit in the spirit is a fallen angel which look like a white serpent or snake which needs to be clean on the out side and unclean heart on the inside. This fallen angel can abide over whole groups of people creating strife and building walls of hate. This revelation comes the eyes of Lord God who I know and many people anointed spiritually minded to see and hear the things of Son of God

I do not like religion, it needs to be contained where only the ones who believe in it, believe in it, and the ones who don't, just hear them as "stories" made up from people's own imaginations.

Religion is a major part of the Primal Tribal mindset and like all clubs they have the chosen and the Other.
Religion though had a major hold on western societies because they held education health and welfare and of course included birth's death's marriages.
There really is very little difference between the religions on a surface level, they all believe a Deity guides them and they all live by the precepts set down to their code.

Things changed in the 20th century where society moved ahead of the gate keepers of the old guard who now do very little in regard to the societies where they are.

Sorry to disappoint you but most of these wars you talk about aren't about religion at all they are about, money, wealth, greed, control, power, etc. Religion being the used to corrupt, persuade, motivate those to go to war and when you look at it closely who are the ones who benefited in the end - the corrupt churches, the wealthy, the rulers, the elitist, not the brainwashed people. Use your mind to draw out wisdom ..... Use your anger constructively - look into who the culprits really are....
