We don't need a hoax to boost followers. God does just fine with the holy spirit. In 2000 yrs we never needed a hoax. I am hoping this happens just to show all the atheists that the bible prophecy is true. Every single detail mentioned right now is written in the bible. Mathew 24 for starters. You don't need to go to church. But your soul is on the line and this isn't a game. There's those who follow God and those who follow Satan and just don't know it. If your not with us your against us. You better start searching for the truth or ? ;)

So you can't be neutral? You have to follow one if you don't follow the other? The Christian God sucks more than I thought.

But anyway, it probably isn't a hoax. The Mayans probably couldn't keep going, or they got bored. I don't know for sure, I'm just guessing. But then again, most religions, if not all of them, are just large guesses.

Lmao! No event in the bible actually happened? Just think about that for a second shall we? Most of the bible is just history, you can't say history never happened. Next you will be telling me world war 2 never happened lol

Provide even ONE piece of guaranteed physical proof that any event in the bible actually took place...

Show me the ruins of Sodom and Gomorrah

Show me the smashed plates of the Ten Commandments

Show me the city of David

Show me the ruins of the temple Samson brought down

Show me the resting / burial site of Goliath

Show me a carbon dated piece of Noah's Ark

This is not someone who is not educated in this matter. I was a full fledged God loving Christian for a long time until reality struck me and I realized that no event in the bible could have taken place if there is no physical evidence to back it up

I will add, acknowledging the Flood does not count : This was not an act of God, this was the melting of the polar caps / ice age. ALL ancient civilizations have a story of the great flood : been scientifically proven it was the melting of the ice age.

Right....

So what kind of 'good' religion tells people to believe or you will spend eternity in a fiery hell??? A farse is what.... The age old answer for Christians : believe in God and Jesus Christ or spend eternity in hell.

GOOD RELIGION. Shouldn't a 'good' religion teach / inspire / promote kindness, love, peace and acceptance of others?? Christianity does NOT do this. They are a scare tactic religion, nothing more.

me i don't know really. one thing I've read is if 2012 happens it's just not one religion being proven right but actually would prove Christianity wrong cause believe it or not it says that the prediction of the worlds demise is not supposed to be known. though science has evidence build up. something we didn't have back in the 70's. I'm not atheist I'm more agnostic. if 2012 happens it happens just live your life. there is some things that are mentioned by the bible that doesn't make sense.. by the time the second seal or horn or what not is blown or opened or occurred.. i do believe that we wouldn't exist anymore. i find it funny some talk that wed get a army (after all that crap) wed would actually want to fight it.. with armies... what armies!!! We'd be dead XDXD and if there was some of us still alive we would be too damn frightened to even try to fight back. if there was any technology to work with in the first place. most of the Electricity would be dead so no tech to run our "armies". so yeah. sometimes i think to myself and i hope it happens i could accept it as our punishment from what ever god or source of life. not to destroy the planet but to save it.

First of all in the bible is says "NOBODY KNOWS...ONLY GOD KNOWS WHEN THE WORLD WILL END"
True Christians know of this...I'm not even christian and I know.
So saying 2012 is the date...is like slapping your bible....
That's even a bigger sin.

I agree with you here, but I wouldn't acknowledge the flood as the bible tells it. There is simply not enough water on this planet to bring about a flood that supposedly rose above the highest mountain peaks in the world. The ice caps completely melting might raise the oceans a 100 meters or so, not by many kilometers. I think stories like this are good evidence of how legends can arise out of real events. One of the supposed Arcs I hear about is resting nearly 4000 meters above sea level on Mt Ararat. Atop terrain that climbers aren't too fussed about scaling.
That this formation would even be considered at all is pretty far fetched.

About the hoax - I don't think so, though there are many on these forums trying to integrate the 2012 deal into the bible. I'm sure most Christians are not doing so.

There is only ONE God the God of love...the God of creation, the one that made us all. There are too many religions worshiping different gods and they think there's is the true god but how can it be so, if there is only one true God. Each religion has different values from each other so which is the right one? They can't all be right.

IF the bible is not true then a lot of people who trusted in it and gave their lives for it died for nothing. Me, I believe it's true from the first page to the last page. I have nothing to LOSE and EVERYTHING TO GAIN. GOD loves you so much that he gave everybody a way to enter into the KINGDOM OF GOD and it's all free of charge. Think about it, that's why there are only males and females in the world and why is everybody's blood is the same color but different. It's not that life is too short, it's that ETERNITY IS SO LONG. First Corinthians 1 and verse 18-25 read it: only in the word of GOD will you find peace, joy, contentment come what may he will not let you down he said he would never leave us. God doesn't lie.

PS. If the bible is not true, there wouldn't be a space program today. They had to use the bible to get them up there by using the accounts found in the bible.
Check it out and see if it's not true. I say it again GOD LOVES YOU.
