Accepting the Mayan 2012 prophecy logically

Accepting the Mayan 2012 prophecy logically requires acceptance of the following theories: our sun is a god; the sun is powered by the blood of human sacrifice; the creation moment occurred at 3114 B.C. (despite all evidence that it happened much earlier); and the visual alignment of stars has some significance for everyday human life. Like every other false religion, the Mayan religion sought to elevate to the point of worship that which was created in place of the Creator Himself. The Bible tells us about such false worshipers: “They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator” (Romans 1:25), and “since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – His eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse” (Romans 1:20). To accept the Mayan 2012 prophecy also denies the clear biblical teaching about the end of the world, because Jesus told us “…of that day and hour no one knows, no, not the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but the Father” (Mark 13:32).

The 2012 Propechy is possible if Chrisianity is wrong, which I believe it is. So is what you claim is the Mayan propecy, because both defy what we know about our Universe. And about the human sacrifice thing. I'm pretty sure you have the Mayans mixed up with the Aztecs on that.

Actually, if you took the time to look into what you were going to say before you said it..

Warfare among the Maya was considerably different from modem combat where opposing forces attempt to annihilate their enemies entirely on the field of battle. First of all, the Maya world was divided into polities, or city-states, that would at times be at peace with each other or under different circumstances fight with each other. The aim of this rather limited warfare was to take prisoners. Low status captives generally wound up as slaves to their captor, but high-status captives were scheduled for ritual sacrifice. The deliberate taking of a human life was deemed necessary to sanctify certain ritual occasions, such as the ascendancy to the throne by a new ruler or the dedication of a new building. Naturally the capture of a rival ruler was highly prized, as the sacrifice of the unfortunate individual lent extra importance to the occasion. The usual method of such a sacrifice was decapitation in a public ceremony. Aside from decapitation, the favored method in Postclassic times was a trick acquired from the Mexican cultures to the north, the removal of the heart. Women and children were sacrificed just as often as men The intended victim was stripped and painted blue before being led to a courtyard or temple where the victim would be placed face-up over a convex altar-like stone also painted blue. The arms and legs of the victim were held by specially designated priests while a fourth, called the nacom, would penetrate the victim's chest with a flint knife just below the left breast. Reaching inside the chest cavity, the nacom would pull out the still beating heart and hand it to another priest, who would then smear the blood on that idol to which the sacrifice had been made. If the sacrifice had taken place on the top of a pyramid, the corpse would be thrown to the courtyard below where priests of lower rank would skin the victim except for the hands and feet. The skin would then be worn by the officiating priest who would solemnly dance among the spectators. If the victim had been an especially brave warrior his body might be butchered and eaten by the nobles and other spectators.

A bow and arrow was also used in human sacrifice. The victim was stripped, painted blue and bound to a stake. According to a sixteenth century .account, " The foul priest in vestments went up and wounded the victims in parts of shame, whether it was a man or woman, and drew blood and came down and anointed the face of the idol with it."

Dancers, all armed with bows and arrows " began one after another to shoot at his heart ... in this manner they made his whole chest ... like a hedgehog of arrows"

A recently discovered painting at Tikal shows a man who has been bound to a stake and disemboweled.

The famous Sacred Cenote (a natural well) located at Chichen-Itza was found to contain numerous skeletons of men, women and children who were sacrificial victims. Bishop de Landa, in the sixteenth century reported: "Into this well they have the custom of throwing Men alive as a sacrifice to the gods in times of drought, and they believed they did not die though they never saw them."

As bad as all this sounds the Maya were amateurs when it came to human sacrifice on a massive scale. The Aztecs of Central. Mexico, many years later, once sacrificed twenty thousand people in a single ceremony to commemorate the dedication of a new temple. Then they ate them.

you just got a double helping of the truth ...dont choke on it.

You really didn't have to go into that much detail. And I wasn't saying you were wrong on it. I was just saying you MAY have confused them with the Aztecs on that, even though I said PROBABLY, which was a mistake on my part. That stil doesn't mean you're right about this Armageddon thing.

The whole Armageddon thing comes from Biblical prophecy.Currently 85% of all Biblical prophecies have already been fulfilled with 100% accuracy. This means there is only 15% left to be fulfilled and it stands to reason with the current state of the planet that this will take place in this generation.
When the Anti-Christ is revealed to the world, then you will know that the time has come for the return of Jesus.(Second Coming, Rapture) Also, the area around Israel is where the worlds focus is beginning to lean.Armageddon will be fought on the Hill of Megiddo.

Image
This site, according to Revelations, is where the final battle will be between the forces of good and evil.
In Revelations 16 there is a description of the end of the world, and the last battle being fought at Armageddon between the forces of good and the forces of evil. The text: (16:16): "And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon".

In Hebrew the place can be interpreted as "Har-Megiddo", where Har is mountain or hill, and Megiddo is the ancient site of Tell Megiddo.
(more info on this here)
http://www.biblewalks.com/Sites/armaggedon.html

Now whether some want to believe the earth will be destroyed by a meteor or by aliens or whatever doesn't matter.God said the end would be like in the days of Noah.In other words, people will be consumed by evil and will turn from God to worship the Anti-Christ.
Lawlessness will rule.Chaos and Anarchy will be prevalent in society. The Fallen Ones will be released from their prison (nephilim, fallen angels) to cause destruction and aid the anti-christ.

Many people just close their eyes and dont want to know whats coming. But the signs of the times are telling the story of the final days. Its happening all around us on a daily basis and whether we choose to believe it or not wont change the fact that its approaching. The veil has been pulled back and the supernatural world is beginning to creep into the physical world of man.
You yourself have begun your own journey of uncovering the truth. Keep digging and questioning all that you can.Thats the difference between free thinkers and the sheeple.

Woah! What biblical prophecies have been fulfilled???

And how can you have 85% of prophecies being fulfilled with 100% accuracy. Does that mean that each of the 85% was 100% accurate or that really only 85% have come true?

The Bible prophecies date back to pre-christ times. So there are prophecies regarding the coming of a messiah, that foretell of him being crucified, having his side pierced with a spear, that blood and water will come from the wound. In more recent times there were prophecies of Israel becoming a Jewish nation and a free state and that it would happen in one day.Check the date of that and you'll find some unique history that goes along with it regarding the US President pushing to have this passed in the U.N. and Israel becoming a free nation in one day. These types of prophecies have been going on since the Bible was first handed down to man by God.
I believe we are currently seeing a rise in natural disasters worldwide. Take the tsunami in Asia a few years ago.The hurricane that hit the southern states of America.Man is beginning to lose his safe habitation to weather. One of the signs of the coming end times.

"Now as He [Jesus] sat on the Mount of Olives,

the disciples came to Him privately, saying,

Tell us, when will these things be?

And What will be the sign of Your coming,

and of the end of the Age?"

(Matt 24:3)

"Jesus answered and said to them . . .

'And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars.

See that you are not troubled;

for all these things must come to pass,

but the end is not yet. [Still before the Rapture and the 'Apocalypse']

For nation will rise against nation ,

and kingdom [country] against kingdom [country] . . .

All these are the beginning of sorrows [actual translation is "birth pangs"]

[As with "birth pangs" they will grow closer]

(Matt 24:6-7)

So, although the world has always had false messiahs, cults, wars, ethnic violence and strife, starvation, disease, epidemics, and earthquakes, Jesus tells us that as a sign that we are entering into the last days we will see each of these increase in frequency and size. Described as "birth pangs," these "pains" will continue to grow worse and worse, coming closer and closer together, as signs we are preparing to enter the Apocalypse . . .

So if you're talking about pre-christ prophecies, that means that it was the Jewish religion that made them. If that's the case, then you also have to accept that the messiah prophecy hasn't come true yet as you're using the Jewish religion as a basis. Can you tell me the passage in the old testament where it says how he'll die just so I can check it myself?

The reason that Israel was created was a direct result of the holocaust and the 2nd World War. The Jews wanted their own state and because the world basically felt sorry, they were given it. The Palestinians feelings weren't taken into account. Was this mentioned in your Bible prophecies.

There have been natural disasters and phenomenon as long as the earth has been in existence. You honestly can't seriously be saying that the Bible foretold them. The tsunami was caused by simple geology not divine intervention. There's also the increased news coverage of these events that puts them into prominence and with the worlds population ever increasing, the chances that lives will be lost will also increase. Do you have any facts and figures to prove that there's been more natural disasters, earthquakes, hurricanes etc.

War's also not a modern invention, you'll probably find that the number of wars have actually decreased over the last 2000 years as people become more civilized.

And you've still to cover the question as to how 85% of predictions are 100% accurate.

No, the question was...what Biblical prophecies have come true...And I began with Old Testament prophecies and went into new Testament prophesies.
