Atlantis was a society that disappeared thousands of years ago. Edgar Cayce has stated that it now rests at the bottom of the sea (Bahamas). Imagine something disastrous happens today and we all have to build everything we have from scratch, again it will take more than they needed.
The evidence of Atlantis could not be found these days because who ever founds it will use it for his credit, which was not the purpose of the Atlantians, they served God-however you understand this.
