Some people feel for various reasons that the earth’s polar caps will make a sudden shift. This event would cause a huge change in the way the earth looks. Land masses would change dramatically. Where there was once water would now be dry and areas of land might be completely flooded. This sudden shift of the polars has been proven by a lot of people to not be “so sudden”. Many scholars believe that the shifting of the polar caps takes place slowly over a very long period of time. This is also another theory which a lot of times involves the planet Nibiru. If Nibiru (Planet X) did exist then the gravitational pull from it moving through our solar system might cause the polar caps to shift?
This will happen I have seen it. God gave me these visions of the earth……..Why do the world leaders not send out warnings. First-California will have a big quake-people will die. The 2012 event seems to be to a lot of people another Y2k scam , but for some reason deep in my mind I cannot deny that something will happen, these last few months things seem to be getting worse, earthquakes every other week, sunspots don’t seem to be coming back on the sun, and some scientists believe it could heat up more or go into a cooling phase. Also, there seems to be an awareness with people who do believe that something big is coming. Whether or not a giant planet will collide with Earth or pass by and bring other rocks our way, there is a danger lurking somewhere. Whether it is fire from volcanic activity, asteroids, bombs or lightning – fire is coming. The only way to survive that is to go underground-caves with water-take food. But do you want to survive? You guys are wrong, no offense. The polar shift will happen, it’s a fact. But if you watched some channels or read about this you would know that the polar shift can be a slow process or a fast one. A slow one would not be life threatening to some countries. But if it was a fast one the UK could be swallowed. But, some countries like the USA may not be flooded (near the cost will maybe). So, you don’t need to worry. This has happened countless times and it’s just mother nature doing its thing. This has happened before and life survived after it and people survived it. If the world ends it will be because the sun will blowup (not in our life time) annihilating the earth or turn into a white dwarf and freeze the earth.

Well well. There are few kinds of polar shifts, which all seems to be mixed up in this conversation.
For first, there’s the shift of Earth’s magnetic poles, that has happened many, many times before us and will continue to do so. The shift of magnetic poles takes many, many years to occur and has no major effects to organic life. At this point I would like to welcome you to investigate a bit more on the subject of palaeomagnetism for example, by the books you find from LIBRARY and not from the pseudo-scientific Internet where most of “facts” are not scientific theories but some pure c**p.
Second, there’s the pole shift, where I believe you are talking about the shifting of Earth’s physical North & South pole. Well, cannot happen, due to the laws of physics. Has never happened, and never will. This “theory” is, as seen above, often mixed up with the “Earth’s Crustal Displacement” or “ECD”-theory which has been made up by Albert Einstein. But no matter how great Einstein was in some things in physics, he was not in geology. The ECD-theory was made up to explain the movement of continents, _before_ plate tectonics was discovered. By now, with what we know from physics, Earth’s crustal displacement isn’t even possible. The ECD-theory was debunked and buried in the 1980’s, but the ghost of the theory has stayed alive in the pseudo-scientific theories, just like seen above.

By center of the milky way what they actually mean is the galactic equator or plane.
And as you know, water swirls counter clockwise in a sink under our equator and clockwise above.

I watched a UTube video about 5 periods in Earth’s history where massive catastrophes occurred and that it usually involved the impact of a large celestial body with the Earth. Then, I also read on line about the Earth’s alignment with The Sun and the Center of the Milky Way Galaxy and that there is some belief or perhaps even evidence by scientists that a black hole lies directly in the center of our galaxy. If so, I’m more concerned with the effects of a black hole eventually pulling everything and everyone into it but that may happen in billions of years from now.

The year 2012 is the end of an age. Not the end of the world. There is one God who created all things, seen and unseen. Is there going to be a pole shift? I think so. It’s happening slowly now but will be completed in a short time period. There will be dramatic changes in physical earthly things: earthquakes will increase in number and magnitude. More violent weather around the globe to extremes. There will be physical bodies striking the earth from space. The wisdom of this world has no chance to deal with any of this.
